Leukapheresis

OptiCell Solutions services includes collection of blood components for research purposes in voluntary study subjects, cell donors or patients. Collaboration with research institutions and pharmaceutical companies to facilitate clinical trials. Leukapheresis, done by our apheresis nurses, has few and mild side effects and is an effective way to collect large numbers of targets cells with high viability (cell survival) in a collection bag.

Venipuncture/phlebotomy

Collection of blood for research purposes in voluntary study subjects or patients. Collaboration with research institutions and pharmaceutical companies to facilitate clinical trials. Phlebotomy, or in this case blood donation to research purposes, is done by apheresis nurse in a CPD blood collection bag containing whole blood up to 500ml. However, viability here is not as high compared to leukapheresis due to e.g. granulocytes.

Blood withdrawal (Blood samples)

Apheresis nurses take a blood test to ensure the correct targets cells in subjects or patients before cell collection. OptiCell Solutions also offers the possibility of monitoring studies and their study objects.

Donor management service

Recruit, screen and cell collection. Apheresis nurses recruit, book in and screen study subjects before cell collection. All this is carried out in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Study management

Necessary know-how for researcher in their studies with cell therapy. Study coordination with research ethics specified for cell and gene therapy, and with current ICH GCP Declaration of Helsinki. OptiCell Solutions protect patient health by following local regulatory norms and consider of risks/burdens/benefits. We protect vulnerable groups and individuals with focus on ethics and protection of privacy and confidentiality.

Therapeutic apheresis treatments

Patients with medical conditions that requiring therapeutic apheresis treatments are referred from a primary care physician. OptiCell Solutions masters various types of treatments and can be available to treat patients in need of therapeutic apheresis treatments. Consultation and training

Opticell Solutions services also includes consultation and training related to cell collection, apheresis treatment and study management in cell and gene therapy. We would like to join fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common interest and goals.
